P20 Mini Long Distance Tactical Flashlight

As an avid collector with over two hundred high-end illuminators in my display case, the P20 Mini immediately took center stage in my thrower rotation. I was captivated by how Acebeam managed to shrink down serious searchlight performance into a streamlined single-21700 chassis. The heart of this light is its Luminus emitter sitting inside a deep, mirror-polished smooth reflector that crafts a surgical hotspot. Generating a staggering 4,000 lumens and pushing out over 1,035 meters of verified throw, it obliterates dark fields without breaking a sweat. The driver regulation is extraordinarily flat, holding high output without the annoying step-down PWM jitter seen in cheaper throwers. I measured the tint at around 6500K with remarkably low green tint shift on Turbo, which is a major win for cool-white enthusiasts like myself. The machining on the body tube features diamond knurling with crisp, flawless chamfering across every edge. Hard anodization Type III finish is silky to the touch yet incredibly resistant to key scratches when carried in my collection pouch. The dual-switch user interface allows for instant momentary engagement at the tail and effortless mode cycling via the electronic side switch. Thread pitch is square-cut and buttery smooth, heavily lubricated from the factory with double O-rings ensuring true IP68 submersible depth. Battery versatility is top-notch, seamlessly handling high-drain unprotected 21700 cells as well as the included USB-C cell. The stainless steel strike bezel adds a sharp, aggressive accent to the front profile that looks striking on display. When comparing candela-to-size ratio against other compact throwers on my shelf, the P20 Mini ranks near the absolute peak. It is a Masterclass in optical efficiency and compact engineering that no serious collector should miss out on.

Living and working on the water I use it regularly on the boat. It’s so easy to carry I also use it daily walking the dog at night along the river to light up coyote eyes. The power and long throw has let us avoid contact several times. The switching design fits my uses really well. Slightly too big for me to EDC on my belt or hold in my mouth but it’s always kept charged and at hand.

I was impressed by the flashlight’s mechanical construction; I really like how it looks and it feels truly durable. The flashlight has a large hotspot and is very bright. In terms of size and performance, it sits somewhere between the L35 2.0 and the T29. A great feature is USB charging both on the flashlight itself and directly on the included 21700 battery, which has an impressive capacity of 6400 mAh.

The strike bezel on the front can be unscrewed if you prefer a sleeker profile for deep pocket carry, giving you great customization depending on your setup. Its rugged construction looks so cool! I am going to order the MAO version as well. This thing is much more pocketable than standard P20.

After an 18-day DHL odyssey—with the package first going missing, then arriving damaged, then being repackaged, followed by a malfunction at the DHL sorting facility in Bremen, and on top of that, a delay of several days in delivery to my address—oh my... the little Acebeam P20-Mini has finally made its way to me.

I ordered it with the MAO coating and was a bit skeptical about whether that was the right choice!

My first impression: I’m absolutely thrilled! The Acebeam MAO—which actually feels like an extremely hard and smooth, yet very grippy coating straight out of the SpaceX program (I’ve experienced more mediocre MAO from other manufacturers)—totally blew me away. Awesome!
It feels like a dream. The only thing that might come close is the OAL of the Olight Ultras.

The overall build quality of the P20 Mini is also absolutely top-notch. In a P20 Mini promo video, they smash a coconut with it.
That seems totally realistic to me—I don’t see any issues there. Boing! What a super-rugged little beast!

What else: I haven’t had a real chance to use it for outdoor lighting yet, so I just shone it on a white wall and briefly lit up the farthest neighbor’s yard from the patio. It’s about 600 meters away. Wow!!! He noticed it, hehe :thrower:
I think it’s amazing what it puts out for its size. The SFT60 really packs a punch. And the Mini doesn’t even have a pencil beam.
It impresses with plenty of spill and a great spot—absolutely awesome!!!

This professional series flashlight perfectly embodies the tough design philosophy that Acebeam is famous for!!!!! I love how it feels completely indestructible in the hand. The long-distance beam profile is incredibly useful, making it a premium torch you can always trust.  PLUS the MAO, Acebeams MAO is the best feeling MAO I have ever had

I own several long-range flashlights, and this one is excellent.
What makes it unique is the orange filter; while red, green, and blue filters are common, orange ones are rare, and it provides great visibility even in bad weather.
The only downside is that the handle tends to catch on the holster, making it difficult to draw.

This is a the little brother to my P20 and I felt like I would use the P20 mini more often due to its compact size
