TAC AA 2.0 Flashlight

$39.90

TAC AA 2.0 is a compact EDC flashlight, no bigger than a fingertip, designed with a minimalist tactical style for easy portability. It offers two LED options: the red/blue version is equipped with an SFT-25R LED, providing a beam distance of up to 360 meters; while the black version is the high-brightness model, with a maximum output of 1000 lumens. It is compatible with standard AA batteries, making it easy to purchase and replace. The tailcap design supports reverse operation, and with the addition of a white or orange diffuser, it can also function as a reading light, signal light, or emergency light. Additionally, it is waterproof to 2 meters and impact-resistant from 1.5 meters, making it suitable for various environments.

Small flashlight - much power
You will be surprised how much output comes from this very small flashlight. The design is sturdy and user friendly. The battery can be charged by USB-C, a big benefit is that you can exchange it with a standard AA battery if you run out of power. I have mine always by the side of my bed, if I need light at night.

Discreet and powerfull
The updated TAC AA 2.0 is an exceptional pocket rocket that punches way above its weight class. I love the textured grip pattern because it feels incredibly secure in hand, preventing any accidental slips during operation. It is an amazing option for anyone who wants serious tactical capabilities in a highly discreet size.

Could be a really good light, but a lot of flaws
On paper this light has most of the things I want but the build quality isn't there and the mode groups are very odd. I carried this light for about three weeks after i got it in that time I pulled it out of my pocket to multiple times to find that the head had loosened enough to cause the light to flicker, or not work at all. The problem is that there is no spring in the head and it doesn't actually contact the battery at all until it is completely bottomed out on the threads. If it backs off even a hair it starts to flicker and another hair beyond that it shuts off entirely. In the three weeks I was carrying it, I found it turned on in my pocket twice and once pulled it out to find it dead, presumably because it had been running on low in my pocket. The tail switch is very soft and has a short travel. You actually need to be deliberate to do a momentary activation on this light. If you aren't careful it's really easy to do a full click rather than a tap.

The mode groups are also odd. I was using it in the default mode 1 group because that's the only one that goes low --> high with no mode memory. Firstly, the "low" mode in group 1 isn't actually low, it's medium. That's fine, but it's not what the manual says. All of the other groups either add mode memory or some kind of strobing mode which is a deal breaker for me.

The good things are really good though, the brightness and throw from such a small light is really impressive. If the build quality was better and they made mode memory something that could be toggled independently of the group selection they'd have a winner on their hands.

SFT25R is just the perfect match
I just love the size and the output of the new SFT25r LED - it can throw like a champ as thre reflector head is a big larger than typical AA 14500 flashlights. Also the tint is quite good too!
The Red color is just WOW ;)
