Notice: L30 GEN II could work Peak Performance 4000lms when power by ACEBEAM 21700 (5100mAh) or ARC18650H-310A (3100mAh) battery or the the same batteries of other brands. Please try to use ACEBEAM original 18650/21700 battery with PCB protection which installed 4 MOSFETs or high drain 18650/21700 battery without PCB protection. (When using the normal 18650 battery with PCB protection which installed less 4 MOSFETs,it will work 1000-2000lms;using 2 x CR123A batteries, the Max output could reach 1500lms only .)

The Acebeam L30 Gen II may be a slightly older model, but it absolutely still holds its own today because it is a genuinely good flashlight. With up to 4000 lumens output and a strong beam that reaches several hundred meters, it is more than capable for real outdoor use, tactical tasks, or emergency situations even by modern standards. The combination of 21700 battery support, robust build quality, and a convenient side plus tail switch interface makes it very practical in daily use. USB charging directly in the light adds convenience that many newer lights still copy, which shows how ahead of its time this model was.

Also grabbed an used L30 Gen II and this thing really feels like a proper tactical light, not just another tube with an XHP70.2 stuffed in. Tons of output, good throw with plenty of spill, side switch + tailcap combo works great, and even though there is already a ridiculous pile of flashlights lying around here, somehow it still keeps getting taken out on walks at night. Right now a new L35 v2 is on the way, so once it arrives there will definitely be a comparison between the two.
Impressively bright flashlight
I had purchased the L30 GEN II as my first "real" flashlight and I'm happily surprised by how bright it is and how far it can light things up. I've owned the light for nearly a year now and it's as reliable and bright as the day I got it, and I foresee using the light for many years to come.
It's able to light up trees and the road far ahead when biking, and it's all in a small enough light so it's not too heavy to carry with me on trips. 10/10. would recommend to anyone who needs a light to shine far and bright.
